This week Vladimir Shevel joined Ural Great in its preseason camp in Perm. On his arrival Vladimir gave a brief interview for our website.

V.Shevel: Ural Great showed interest in me about a year ago. But I received an official offer from your club only this summer. It didn’t take me long to agree to the proposal. Ural Great is a good club. One of the advantages was participation of Perm in the international cup this season.

Question: Last season you did not miss a game in the domestic championship. How did it feel?

Answer: It wasn’t too hard. But I wanted to play even more. I spent 20 minutes ave per game in Surgut. I am sure the competition for the place in the main roster is going to be much higher in Ural Great. So in every practice and game I’ll have to prove my right to play. The preseason camp will show a lot. I will work my best.

Q: Do you know the rivals of Ural Great in the FIBA EuroCup this season?

A: Yes, I do. I would love to play against Olympias. Greek teams are usually stronger than Bulgarian ones and it is more interesting to play against equal opponent and win them.
