Today our club signed guard Roman Khamitov (23 years old, 199 cm) who played last season in UNICS Kazan.



In the 2006-2007 season Khamitov played 4 games (14 minutes total, 1 point). Before that he played for UNICS farm team starting from the year 2000.

In the short interview for our website Roman talked about himself:

— I started playing basketball in the children’s sports school of Stary Oskol. At the age of 14 I was invited to St.Petersburg school. Of those whom I met there Denis Ershov, Nikolai Sukhorukov now play in Vladivostok, Dmitry Poltavsky played in Ural Great before. Then Sergey Zozulin invited me to Avtodor Saratov and the next year I moved to UNICS Kazan. It was really hard to get to the main roster of the Kazan team. Having spent several seasons in their farm team I decided it was the time to try myself in another club. Ural Great made me an offer and I accepted it.

Question: What is your goal in Perm?

Answer: I want local fans like me and I wish to play and win together with my new team.

Q: What is your position?

A: I play both 2 and 3 positions. I like to drive to the basket but do not forget to shoot either.
