Today players and coaches of Ural Great returned to Perm after long preseason camp. Sharon Drucker shared his opinion about teams 3-weeks stay in Italy and Israel:
— I think the pre season was successful. We had good conditions for practices and work. Our main task to build up a team is fulfilled. We are starting to see a united group of people who all came from different towns and countries. The guys spent three weeks in a camp, together they practiced, spent free time and got to know each other better. I think these players want to play and win. With such motivation we can achieve very good results.
We played our friendly games, their result is very satisfying but it wasnt most important for me. I wanted to see in real games what we achieved so far and what we have to work on more. I cant tell this or that game was better. So far we are showing good game only in some moments that then are followed by downs. We worked on new systems in defense and offense. And we played with two Russian players on the court (as per the Russian basketball federation rules). We worked for future and not for result.
We have 10 days before the first official game in the Russian championship. Our schedule is tough, the first three games we play on the road against leaders. But we are not going to give up. Our players are willing to fight. Now in Perm we are going to finish preseason preparations. Do what we have to do and correct mistakes that revealed during the camp.
