On August 28 our club all together went to the third biggest city of the Perm region - Berezniki - to promote basketball playing streetball and showing Ural Great team in exhibition game. Preparations - fixing backboards and supports, drawing lines, etc. - started the evening before and Saturday morning streetball tournament with 50 participating teams of different age groups began. The sky was cloudy but different competitions organised by our unchangable showmen, i.e. Permyakov & Gritsenko, attracted a crowd. The best got souvenirs with Ural Great logos. At the opening ceremony representatives of city administration spoke and then Ural Great players were warmly met by the spectators and folk group in national costumes. After all the greetings streetball and competitions continued, while organisers and media went to press conference to the city hall. Club Administration informed the journalists about new High league basketball team based in Berezniki and playing for the Perm region, actually it will be Ural Great farm team. |
